The Mercedes B service is more in depth and useful for older Mercedes models or those who drive further distances per year. B Services cost more than A services due to their extensive inspection and part replacement processes. B services occur roughly one year after A services and at two-year (or 20,000 mile) increments. This all depends on the amount of mileage you do per year, and your Mercedes vehicle will display a message on the dashboard telling you when a B service is due.

Levels of A and B servicing for Older Mercedes Models
Older model years of Mercedes have more specific A and B services that users may be notified about. A warning message such as A7 service or B4 service may appear on the dashboard. How Do I know when my Mercedes needs a service?
A message will display on your dashboard, warning you how long until your next service is due. If this doesn’t appear, you can find it within your vehicle settings.
Within your Mercedes dashboard screen, scroll through and find the service menu. From here, find the ASSYST PLUS feature and enter it. A dashboard message will display and inform you which service and how many days until your next service is due.
