Why do I need to get an MOT?

You can bring your vehicle to us one month prior to when your MOT is due without losing any time from your previous certificate.
How soon can you MOT my vehicle?
Garden City Garage is open six days a week and offers an out-of-hours drop-off and collection service.

And, if your car needs repairs in order to pass, we’ll try and make the repairs there and then.

How much will it cost?
The government caps the cost of the MOT test at £54.85. However, we offer a range of services to suit all budgets and requirements. And, we also offer a 0% payment plan to help you spread the cost of your yearly service and any repair work. Just ask when you book in.

The law has changed
The law changed on 20th May 2018, with new defect types, stricter rules for diesel car emissions, and some vehicles over 40 years old becoming exempt. You don’t need to worry about that though as we are here to ensure your car passes and you stay safe!
