How do I know what service my Skoda needs?
To ensure your Skoda is safe, efficient, and operating at peak performance it’ll need to be regularly serviced. The service your car requires will depend on the age of your Skoda, the miles covered, as well as your yearly mileage.
Is your Skoda under 3 years old and you drive less than 10,000 miles a year?If so then we’d recommend that your Skoda is serviced every 12 months or 9,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The repeated stopping and starting can put your vehicle under strain and will require servicing more frequently than a car that travels on longer journeys.
Is your Skoda under 3 years old you drive more than 10,000 miles a year? Longer journeys don’t put your engine under as much strain as shorter start/stop motoring. If your traveling long journeys on open roads then we recommend servicing your Skoda every 10,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first.

What happens during an Skoda service?
Natural wear and tear occurs both with time and miles driven. We ensure the vehicle is thoroughly checked and the correct components replaced maintaining optimum performance and safety.
Skoda designs a specific service schedule for the lifetime of your vehicle. Our experienced technicians ensure this is adhered to.
We’ll always carry out the right service for your vehicle. Below is an example of the areas covered.

Typical Skoda Service Checklist
Lighting & Visibility – Your Skoda Front and rear lighting is thoroughly checked for correct operation. Additional visibility items such as glass, wipers are inspected along with exterior mirrors and registration plates.
Under Bonnet – A full visual inspection is carried out ensuring no leaks exist and all components are serviceable. Where applicable service items such as air filter, oil filter, sparks plugs, drive belts, etc are replaced.
Vehicle Interior – Seat belts, horn, and hazard lighting are inspected, as well as all vehicle controls. We’ll also ensure the correct operation of the driver displays noting any warning messages. Vehicle computers are also interrogated for faults.
Steering, Drive, and Suspension – A comprehensive check of all joints, gaiters and wheel bearings is carried out. This is followed by an inspection of the front and rear shock absorbers and road springs.
Braking – Front and rear brake components are checked and measured so that service life can be reported upon.
Under Vehicle – After removal of the under trays the engine oil is drained and transmission checked for leaks.
Tyre Inspection – All road wheels and tyres are inspected for serviceability and pressures adjusted prior to refitting. Where applicable the spare wheel is inspected or inflation kit checked for operation.
